iPhone 16 – Premium 3D Product Animation
This project presents a high-end 3D product animation of the iPhone 16, entirely created from scratch. The process covered every stage of production, including accurate 3D modeling, realistic materials, detailed texturing, professional lighting setups, and smooth, cinematic animation.
The animation highlights the device’s refined design, premium finishes, and key visual details through controlled camera movements and clean transitions, following modern product visualization standards used in tech advertising.
A flagship phone is one of the most photographed objects on earth, which makes it one of the hardest to shoot in a way anyone remembers. Its selling points are also its most difficult surfaces: a brushed titanium frame, a mirror-polished band, and multi-element camera glass — materials that either blow out or read as flat grey depending entirely on how they are lit. The brief was to build a launch-grade product film where the material itself does the selling, close enough to survive macro framing.
The phone was modelled from scratch in Blender to real dimensions, then shaded around the two surfaces that matter: an anisotropic brushed titanium that shifts as it rotates, and the camera glass built in layers so the lens elements catch real reflections. Lighting is a dark stage with long, controlled highlights that travel across the chassis as it turns, so the form is drawn by reflection rather than fill. The film opens with the device assembling out of a particle field, moves through a slow hero rotation, then cuts into macro passes on the camera array, the frame edge and the port. A luminous mesh environment sits behind the product to keep the frame alive without competing with it. Compositing, particle work, glow and grade were finished in After Effects.
A 24-second film at 2560×1440 that holds up under macro framing — the titanium reads as metal, the camera glass reads as glass. The hero rotation works as launch or store-page footage, and the macro passes cut out cleanly as standalone assets for feature callouts and social. Self-initiated study.
